What3Words Search

What3Words Search

The search function for Blue Light Maps is integrated with What3Words, which is a naming scheme for locations. The whole world has been divided up into 3m squares, each with a unique three word reference.

If you're trying to navigate to a What3Words location, all you need to do is enter the location in our normal search bar.

We accept entry with the three words separated by full stops, and will start to search the What3Words database as soon as you start typing the third word.

You don't have to prefix your W3W location with '///', but we accept that too.

On selecting the relevant search result, we'll show it like any other search result, allowing you to tap it and 'Route To' to get the most appropriate route to your What3Words destination.
